ICICLE’s 2024 Learning Engineering conference revolves around the overarching theme of Solving for Complexity at Scale.

The conference focuses on solving the implicit complexity of learning challenges at different scales, from the individual tutor to massive open online courses and everything in between.

What is Learning Engineering?

Learning Engineering is a process and practice that applies the learning sciences using human-centered design and engineering methodologies and data-informed decision making to support learners and their development.

What to Expect

The conference covers a blend of theoretical insights and practical applications across topics related to the Learning Engineering process, learning sciences, learning analytics, cognitive science, teamwork, technology innovations, and human-centered learning. ASU Learning Engineering Institute is co-hosting this year’s event.

Engaging sessions, such as Lightning Talks, Show and Share Presentations, Active Learning Sessions, Stations of Exploration, and Showcase Your Work, will actively involve participants and contribute to the advancement of learning engineering. The conference is for a diverse audience of learning professionals, including educators, learning scientists, software engineers, data scientists, students, researchers, instructional designers, and anyone intrigued by the world of Learning Engineering.
