Business Analyst

Description

Yet Analytics is looking for a Business Analyst to help us shape and deploy cutting-edge learning data products and open source offerings. This role supports large commercial and government projects and helps to advance our core systems and technologies. This role will interface with clients, developers, and project management professionals to find the right solutions for ongoing implementation projects.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years’ as a Business Analyst, Technical Writer, Product Owner, or similar role in software development or a related industry

  • Ability to quickly learn the use of, use cases for, and technical details of a software product

  • Ability to read and absorb technical specifications and documentation, and achieve proficiency in making proper implementation recommendations based on them

  • Ability to troubleshoot and reproduce software issues

  • Excellent technical communication skills and the ability to interface with clients in an efficient manner

Core Competencies:

  • Must enjoy collaborating with clients to produce requirements and solutions

  • Ability to carefully advise clients on the best course of action

  • Curious and solution-oriented

  • Good communication skills; can communicate effectively and respectfully

  • Able to shift priorities to meet business needs

  • Travel to client locations for meetings may be required on occasion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field (e.g. Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Science, CS, Mathematics)

  • Experience with APIs, and software integration considerations

  • Familiarity with the concepts and/or implementation of Open Source Software

Bonus Points:

  • Some experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and associated concerns

  • Experience with software considerations for Government/Military use

  • Some knowledge of devops systems (ex. CI, CD etc)

  • Basic understanding of SQL (any flavor)

Work Environment

This is a primarily remote position. Our headquarters are located in the Baltimore, MD area. Keep in mind that we have meetings in the Eastern timezone where remote attendance may be expected. 

All necessary hardware will be provided. We collaborate closely during the day via Slack, Zoom, Jira, and GitHub.
