Especially in learning ecosystems – where technology seems constantly to be changing and where there are myriad external pressures on stakeholders – modernization can seem overwhelming.

Continuous modernization seeks to mitigate these pressures.

LE-RAMM is a packaged solution designed to support the modernization of learning ecosystems. It includes real-life human analysts, a powerful organizational assessment tool, expert recommendations based on real experience working on some of the world’s most complex modernization projects, and a model of support built for data-driven innovation and measurable results.

Key to our approach is the implementation of a maturity matrix – a means of formative assessment that can speak to the state and goals of an organization – and which leverages the language of learning and development in order to identify and solve major challenges.

A new approach, based on a decade of experience

When we say “modernization”, we are talking about the dynamism and durability of an organization’s people, processes, and support systems. We call this “continuous modernization”.

LE-RAMM is designed to provide the human experience, computing power, and technical skill to best position an organization to succeed in the process of modernizing a learning ecosystem.

LE-RAMM is available as a membership. And our members serve as leaders across organizations intent on the modernization of learning ecosystems.

We provide our members with the framework necessary to engage purposefully in meaningful needs analysis, to apply strategic decision making around innovation and change management, to make informed decisions based on a clear understanding of organizational readiness, and to architect and implement solutions.

How it works…

Pre-measurement

LE-RAMM measures the perception of: messaging, knowledge management, resource management, skill sharing, prioritization, mentorship, organization, critique, advocacy, and entrepreneurism across all aspects of your organization. These perceptions can directly impact how an organization responds to a modernization initiative.

We’ll start by sitting down to work together on a needs analysis to understand what your modernization objectives are, where you are in the process, and where you think there may be gaps.

Step One: Analyze

Your analyst will provide an adapted and unique matrix reflecting what was learned during the initial needs analysis. Each question in the matrix covers a distinct aspect of organizational perception, but the specific content of the questions may reflect the quirks of your own organization. You will issue LE-RAMM forms online to your employees via our platform and the responses are collected and tabulated automatically.

Step Two: Calibrate

LE-RAMM will automatically collect responses and create a maturity composite score. The maturity composite score is averaged from six weighted scores:

  • Innovation Capacity

  • Learning Experience

  • Tech Sophistication

  • Ethical Implications

  • AI Awareness

  • Modernization Alignment

Step Three: Evaluate

Your analyst will review your results with you and submit to you a recommendation report. Recommendations may include changes regarding processes, messaging, or technology. Or they may focus on culture. Your recommendations are unique to your needs analysis and maturity composite.

Step Four: Iterate

Key to a successful campaign is to keep in mind that continuous modernization is an ongoing and iterative process. When we complete step three, we go back to step one. Your membership ensures that you have access to a trusted advisor throughout your modernization journey.

Use Case: K12 Education

The Scenario

A Large, metro-area public school district (210 schools, 160k students, 14k teachers, 25k staff) has a board-mandated requirement to put a modernization plan in place to:

  • Increase professional readiness for the use of AI among staff throughout the school district

  • Ensure the technical preparedness for the implementation and integration of AI solutions

Historically, it has been difficult for the district to make meaningful use of data related to technological change. Too often it is clouded by vendor interests and fear of the unknown. The district needs a solution that better represents its own culture.

The Engagement

The district contracts Yet for a two-year engagement with a goal of completing four cycles of maturity indexing and recommendation implementation so that they are able to:

  • Measure organizational perception in regard to tech sophistication and AI awareness

  • To identify gaps and potential cultural or technical roadblocks regarding their modernization objectives

A successful outcome will see a measurable increase in the sophisticated organizational perception of AI and in the professional and technical readiness for AI initiatives. These metrics will help make a case for increased funding to meet the promise of artificial intelligence in the district.

Understand Your Maturity in Context.

Starting in 2026, we will be publishing an annual report exclusively for LE-RAMM members. How will you stack up?
